It gives off good heat for sore muscles, and it is just what I was looking for. There are 2 selections for heat, so when it gets too hot, you can switch it to lighter heat. I really like it.

Prior to using this, I felt like the tin man and needed some oil to move my neck. I received this unit and really didnt expect much. It takes a few minutes to heat up and you kind of need lotion for it to glide over your skin. I glided it over my neck and upper back for about 5-10 minutes and was able to move my neck without moving my torso. I seriously couldn't believe it only took a few minutes to undo a months worth of stiffness. I definately would suggest buying this. Now I can throw out my oil can. Lol.

Paid for itself in one use. I purchased this device nearly four years ago to use on my arthritic knee. No help, but maybe I don't use it often enough. One night in bed, I had a hamstring cramp that would not let up. It lasted a few minutes. The pain was incredible. As a last resort before calling for an ambulance, I told my wife to get the red light wand. Within seconds after I placed it against my hamstring, the cramp released and the pain was gone. Very sturdy. Comes with two bulbs, but still haven't needed the second. Emits soothing heat. You have to move it around.

This little tool had been very helpful. I purchase it because I had read it might help with pain. I have lots of pain but at the moment I am dealing with 3 discs in my neck that have disintegrated. So I purchased this little tool to see if it would help. I have been using it for two weeks now and there has been a 75% reduction in my pain in my neck which was going from my neck all the way to the top of my head. It felt like my skull was cracking open , , the headaches were terrible. So I am so grateful.the only downfall to it is that since it is a handheld model my arms get tired of holding it in the right position so I end up switching from one arm to the other arm to keep it in the right position. But it is well worth the effort since I cannot afford the big table models. what works for one person might not help the next person but I would highly recommend it to anybody to try.
