Must have!
Both my first grades use these at school! They are a great contribution to our hw station and helping with their counting. Definitely recommended 👌

Multiple uses, sturdy and well built!
Good for kids, explaining numbers and sturdy build that has withstood the wrath of a 2 year old and 4 year old! It is probably not something that will keep their attention on its own but useful for teaching purposes. I am surprised it has lasted this long as it is generally thrown in a large toy bin with other, much bigger toys. What you see is what you get and that is a good thing. I also use it to count sets and reps while exercising, works pretty well for that as well!

Get them you won’t regret it!
I had never used these before and wasn’t sure my students would pick up the concept as quickly as a number line. I was wrong these number racks are their go to math resource. I use these for my small group special education classroom and both my student and I love them. They have helped up nicely both to normal wear and tear as well as being launch across the room or stomped on.

Sturdy but check the BEADS
The rekenreks are sturdy and should hold up to my 1st grade students. But, I just noticed that 1 rekenrek is missing its 5th white bead...only 19 beads total. BUMMER! Check your rekenreks before storing them so that you don't get stuck with a rekenrek with only 9 beads on a row.

Works
One did break a bead (I dropped it lol) so its understandable. That said my kid was able to use them well for simple math.
