Like every other product released by Creality, this product fails to make it through to the final outcome satisfactorily. They make so much crap, at a diarrhea-pace, that it is not surprising to me that after purchasing this CR-Scan Raptor, it was unfit for real use. The main issues were with the software, which truly sucks and is not anywhere close to the improvement that influencers like CNC Kitchen claims. Frequent crashing on my M1Ultra Studio with 128gb of RAM makes simple scans infuriating. And such a limited output option of only STL or OBJ makes working with the files in modeling apps a nightmare - with the files being useful only for basic alignment (which could be done with a simple caliper). Indeed, on the use-case CNC Kitchen showed, simply measuring the back of the AC unit would have taken just a few minutes and yielded the same results (better accuracy even). Once Creality hires some talented software designers and completely remakes their CR-Scan app, it might be a worthwhile purchase. Now, though, it is money well-wasted.
