Awesome!!
A wonderful thing!ProsBig, spherical, clear ice as desiredCons1.Occupies substantial space in the freezer. Just fits in mine… lucky me!!2. Min 24-48 hrs are required for one lot3. Extraction of ice requires a fair degree of effortPrognosis- the end state is worth the effort and due to the science involved, this is probably the easiest way to get clear ice.It is recommended to prepare in advance for the parties. The ice made can be stored in other containers in the freezer.

Works as advertised…
It takes about 16 hours to get the spheres ready. I’ve experimented with normal RO filtered water as well as with RO water boiled and cooled to room temperature. Needless to say, the latter comes out clearer. You have to pack the mold snugly else the hemispheres will be slightly offset and you’ll see a seem.Overall: Good stuff - nice indulgence for a drink.

Great
Had bought cheaper ones few years back which didn't produce spheres let alone clear ice. This is value for money and does what it says.Had to tinker with the freezer settings till the ice became perfectly clear the first few tries. My firdge was set to 7.5-8 to give perfect ice. Kept for 26-30Hrs. I experimented with water and found that boiled water which was cooled to room temperature gave clear ice compared to direct tap water. Another benefit is the ice cube formed in the bottom of the container can be used too and are clear too. This cube which can be broken into 3 pieces can be use while making cocktail too in the shaker. Can make many clear ice spheres and keep for a small party which I found was an advantage to the "ice press" which you had to wait for it to cool down to make another ice sphere and u had to keep more amount of ice in the freeze to use the "icepress" when making for same amount of people. U can get a different model with more spheres to increase the amount but this is satisfactory for now.

It does not make complete balls
It was used to make ice balls. However it does not make a complete ball as stated but only partial. Tried at least four times. Filled water as directed upto the mark. Put it in freezer fit 25 to 30 hours. No change

Impossible to take the ice cubes out
The media could not be loaded. Very difficult to take out ice cubes actually impossible to take them out . It gets stuck .because the entire thing gets frozen .

Awesome
My husband went crazy for this. You have to give it time it mentions (24 hours) but it yields the results. The ice balls are beautiful and clear. I infact got beautiful ice cubes at the bottom of the box. The size is good, and it is easy to use. It is easy to clean too but take care of the insulation since it is basically thermocol. No leakage observed.

Works perfectly. It's scientific :)
You might see many other Ice Sphere cups being sold which are smaller. While I haven't tried them, I can say with certainty that they will at best make cloudy spheres, and at worst, no spheres at all. This ice box works on the principle of unidirectional (top-down) cooling. That is why there is the thermal insulator in the form of the external box. Additionally, the caste for the spheres is a perfect mold. Easy to remove once frozen and crystal clear. Check out some videos online to see why this method works.I simply enjoy making these sphere.A special note, due to the nature of the ice that i created, these spheres of ice not only retain their shape, but also take about 2 hours to melt. Thus it keeps your drink cold and doesn't dilute it. Think whiskeys, then this is the perfect ice!

Super
If there is a handle to pullout the silicone mould, it is the best ice maker i can say

Glacio's Clear Sphere Duo system worked as advertised the first time I used it (and has every time thereafter).
I fully expected to have a learning curve in order to master the art of creating perfectly clear ice cubes. I was ecstatic when I was successful the first time out of the gate. How cool is that! (No pun intended). In a nutshell, here's all it takes: 1) you fill Glacio's insulated container with warm water up to roughly an inch from the top; 2 you insert Glacio's silicon molds (without filling them with water) into the container, and, if necessary, top off the molds with additional warm water; 3) place the whole assembly into a freezer for 24 hours; 4) remover the silicon molds from the container and then separate the two halves to extract the spheres. If all has gone well (and it has on all of my efforts so far), the bottom of the container will have unfrozen water encapsulated by clear ice, indicating that the spheres successfully froze from the top down (the secret to getting clear ice), since the bottom of the container still has unfrozen water! Here's an added benefit: leave the container out for a few minutes after you have removed the silicon molds, and you can then pop out the clear ice that was encapsulating the unfrozen water. You now have clear (albeit irregular) ice that you can use in addition to your clear ice spheres. My wife is rolling her eyes as I exhibit a giddy enthusiasm showing off my clear ice sphere-making skills not seen since I first learned to drive :-)

Absolutely clear spheres
I recently purchased the Glacio after reading the reviews of crystal clear spheres. I have been making my own clear ice by freezing water in an open ice chest, so I understood the reason why the Glacio would be successful in making clear round spheres. I was not disappointed. The first attempt was pretty successful, although I did have a few tiny bubbles frozen into the ice, but still was much better than expected. I figured out the secret (for me anyway) to get perfectly clear spheres every time... fill the reservoir to the filling line with water (I have a reverse osmosis system), and then let it sit for a few hours to degass. Next drop the insert into the mold and let it fill with water. Dump out any excess. Let sit another hour or so, then put in freezer for 30 hours. I've done this procedure 5 times now and have gotten absolutely perfectly crystal clear spheres. Taking out the frozen molds is also way easier than I expected. The stretchy rubber material of the inserts makes this step a breeze. My wife thinks I'm nut to get so excited, but there's nothing like a nice cold cocktail on a warm summer evening with a perfect ice sphere. One last bit of ice advice. When making your cocktail. let the ice sit a little while till it melts a bit and becomes slick and clear. This will temper the sphere and keep it from cracking when adding your drink. Heard enough? What are you waiting for?! Go out and buy one now!

These are amazing. If you follow the directions and use some sort of filtered water (we use water from our Brita water pitcher), you will get perfectly clear ice balls almost every time. You can't get perfectly smooth round balls as you'll need to chip off the little nubs on the top and bottom, but if you do this correctly, you'll be amazed. I found myself making batch after batch. I find that 24-28 hours is ideal. I made extras because I could. I did discover, however, that the longer the balls sit in either the maker or in bags after being made, the more prone they are to cracking once liquid is added. If you use "fresh" ones straight from the mold, this doesn't seem to be an issue.

Huge freezer hog!
This thing is HUGE!! It's an entire box about 1' square, not your typical "ice tray". In a typical freezer it takes up a lot of freezer space just for 2 ice spheres that take 24-30hrs to freeze.

Insanely clear, perfectly round spheres of ice!
This product is absolutely amazing in that it creates exactly what you want- perfectly round, perfectly clear, nearly invisible spheres of ice. My pictures are of the ice sphere in a glass of water to show just how clear it is. Aside from the obvious part that floats above the water line, you can barely see it. It is exceptionally easy to use, but make sure you use warm water AND wait a full 30 hours. I had one batch that was in for about 26 and it still wasn’t completely frozen through so I had to start all over again. I’ve made 8 ice spheres so far and each has come out perfectly clear. I love this product!
