Never getting a fabric bath mat again
I was very skeptical about this. It's weird, right? A water-sucking stone? Won't it be hard and uncomfortable stepping on after a shower? Will I stub my toe on it in the middle of the night and curse myself for buying it? I have been pleasantly surprised. My main issue was every type of mat I bought never fully dried, even overnight. Gross. This slab of stone absorbs the water quickly and isn't totally ugly. The thing sucks the water off my feet immediately. No one has stubbed a toe yet. My husband actually approves of this purchase, which is saying a lot. It dries within minutes, is light, and honestly is not horrible to step onto after a shower. I thought this was some voodoo stone, but it turns out it's actually the water absorbing miracle they said it would be.

It is a slab of stone but works fairly well
This is not soft in any way. It is literally a slab of stone. I was thinking that it was like the squishy sand that they have at Brookstone, so I was surprised to find out it was just a slab of stone. It does drain and dry fairly well. you will have to step on it, wait a second or so, step onto another dry spot, and roll the sides of feet to touch the stone to really make sure you're not leaving a wet trail. The reason you need to roll the edge of your feet is because your feet does not sink in (of course not, it's a slab of stone!). Also on the first few uses, I noticed I was leaving a powdery footprint. So it might be best to give it a wash prior to first use. It's quite expensive and not very comfortable (as in not soft), but you won't have to wash it and it will always be there to dry your feet.

Much better amd feels cleaner than soft bath mats
I love this! I got so tired of everybody using bath towels as a bath mat. This absorbs water and keeps the floor dry after a shower. It's not washable but is better than having towels or a stinky towel tyoe mat. It is very stiff so on the tile floor it does not lay completely flat but that's ok.

Easy to use. Let it out in the sun every now and then and sandpaper to get rid of any stains
