500ml Frenchic Tuff Top Coat 1st Class Postage

I love Frenchic products. I use the tough top coat prior to waxing freshly sanded furniture. This prevents the wood from soaking up lots of wax. Have also used it on top of a painted finish to protect the paint and stop it chipping. Has a great matt finish that gives the perfect base to apply your wax.The picture shows a sideboard I did using the above technique. Top coat then white wax on the top of the unit. Paint, top coat then white wax on the rest of it. Did this about a year ago and it's still looks like I've just done it.

It does the job brilliantly.

This product ruined my door. freshly painted in blackjack it looked amazing until I used this product this left a milky residue.

Great for matt black table

If you’re painting very light or shabby chic pastels you may get away with this as a top coat. If not it will dry to a smeared finish which does not look the best - like someone wiped off white paint but didn’t quite finish. So I can’t recommend which is a shame. For reference I never overload my brush and use thin coats and still had this effect.If you’ve already made this error then use the top finish as a middle coat and put another layer of two of base colour on top.You’ll then have an almost-the-same tough middle coat that will not reveal too ouch when the top starts to wear/chip off with use/time.

This product washed off in the rain and has left a white chalky residue that can only be fixed by repainting the door. Not happy!
