Best vanilla for those important desserts
This vanilla is potent, but not too strong. A small amount is sufficient. It definitely makes a more flavorful final product. If the cost is a bit too prohibitive, then use another vanilla for a multi-ingredient dessert and keep this one for the fewer ingredients. Let it shine.

Very subtle complex vanilla. Not for people who enjoy Ben and Jerrys
An excellent complex subtle vanilla. Floral notes. Divine in a good Ice cream. Be careful to not destroy it with heat. If you like Ben and Jerry's cloying frozen feces, look elsewhere. This is for those with a developed palate.

Incredible!
I had no idea that vanilla made in different locations had such different flavors, but it's so true. This Ugandan vanilla has a chocolate-y cast to it that is just amazing. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't actually taste like chocolate, just has the note of it. It's wonderful, well worth a try.

Nielsen Massey Indonesian Vanilla - Beauty isn't always Bold
I have purchased over 100 boxes of N.M. vanilla. (The photos show the beautiful gift boxes they come in...even the cat approves!) Seriously though, Nielsen Massey vanillas are the best! Their Indonesian vanilla is my least favorite. It is lighter in color and flavor. I does have a nice earthiness and a touch of spice but it's not as potent. I feel like it could age longer. With that said, I still purchase it and use it. Sometimes you want something to just hum vanilla and not Mariah Carey you through each bite.

The best extract hands down
I actually like to bake with the Mexican vanilla extract as the pungent vanilla scent will not entirely cook off in the oven. This one - the Indonesian - is mellower and excellent for sauces and adding to cremes. Yum!

Kids ask “ what smells so good?”
My kids came into the kitchen and asked what smells so good. I had just put the Uganda vanilla into the cake. I usually here that when the item is baking or I am cooking. This stuff smells magnificent and made my baked good taste great. Definitely treating my self to another bottle!
