Great shape and great all-rounder
I needed something for my 1-2 hour daily dog walk which tends to be muddy, woody, wet and hilly in places. I was fed up with my normal clothes becoming demoted to dog walking ones.Being new to walking trousers I wasn't sure where to start but loads of outdoorsy friend recommended Craghoppers. Little did I know the huge variation in style, fit and shape that Craghoppers offer which is both a blessing and a curse. Ive tried their basecamp trousers which have such a high waisted Simon Cowell look and feel to them - no word of a lie the waist came up to my ribs but fit fine round the thighs. I then tried the classic style which were MASSIVE everywhere even although I ordered the same size. Finally I tried these stretchy ones. The reason I love them are: they have the shape of a normal bootcut pair of jeans/trousers; the waist sits on my waist rather than under my armpits; regular leg length is long enough to cover the top of my walking boots but without dragging on the ground (I'm 5ft 6); they're stretchy enough that they keep their shape and they don't restrict your movement like some other walking trousers; they're fast drying which is great for when my lab shakes mud or rain water over me, they're light weight; loads of secure zip up pockets. My only minor annoyance is that I'd have to buy the convertible version of these if I wanted them in navy (which I do!) but will have to settle for a black pair to go with my dark grey pair instead as I think I'd find the zip off part irritating to my chunky thighs and pointless as I'd never expose my afore mentioned chunky thighs by converting the trousers into shorts anyway.Personally I'm very chuffed with my trousers and I'd encourage anyone who hasn't found the shape or proportion of some other styles of Craghoppers to try these in their normal size.

Lovely trousers
These are lovely trousers and so comfortable, these trousers are great for all weathers. In winter I am able to wear thermals underneath without being tight and when it's warmer they are great on there own. I have now ordered these in 3 different colours. I am normally a size 14 only occasionally a 16 but the 14 fit perfectly. I bought these for dog walking but they are comfortable and smart enough for everyday wear.i would recomend these and I would buy again

Great fit, comfortable trousers.
This item was delivered to me last week, ahead of the projected timescale. I'd tried these on in a main outdoors shop, in the graphite colour, so I knew the fit would be good. This item was about £10 cheaper for the same thing. The fit is lovely. I like the slight stretch as this is comfortable for me. Quite often trousers fit on the waist but are too big everywhere else! (I'm 5'4", with no hips or bum to speak of! 😊). These trousers fit lovely. I'd definitely recommend, and am planning to buy them in the graphite colour too. Much better than walking in jeans.

Really great trousers for walking
I have now got 2 pairs of mushroom coloured trousers to go with the 4 pairs of black ones that I have bought over the past 3 years. They are excellent for walking in as they have enough stretch to make it really comfortable climbing over stiles or sitting down looking at the view. The pockets are all of a decent size and zip up securely too. I've worn them in many climates including the cold (thermals underneath) and the very hot parts of India and Asia and have always found them to be ideal. They wash easily and dry quickly; essential when travelling light! The only thing I have found is that they seem quite long. I am 5 foot 6 inches and need to buy the short trousers as the regular are too long and the trousers aren't really suitable for hemming, as they have the tape in to stop the back of the them from fraying. I wear these trousers constantly, walking or not walking, and apart from slight fading in colour, they still look good.

Perfect summer walking trousers.
Lightweight walking trousers that fit really well at a reasonable price. The legs are neither too baggy or too slim: perfect for walking the dog or a day's hiking. I do find i need to wear a belt as they are quite loose on the waist. I like the fact that they almost sit on the waist. So many trousers today are not high enough on the rise for me. They arrived soon after ordering them too.

Strange sizing
I was really looking forward to a new pair of Craghoppers trousers, as my previous pair (looking just a bit tired) had been flexible enough for hiking, but smart enough for travel and going out on holidays. I had also bought the petite size, so length was fantastic. The old pair had been bought in a high street outdoor clothing store. This pair was huge. I double check the order to confirm the size, but they were correct. When held up against the same sized older pair, there was a good 2-3 inches difference at the waist and the legs were much wider. My advice- buy in store or if you want to try these, buy a size smaller.

Great Walking trousers
Love these trousers. Now have 2 pairs which I take away on walking weeks and also occasionally get them out at weekends if the rains coming down and I'm just about town. They dry off amazingly fast. (In fact, one summer, my OH once washed his in the sink at our B&B and they dried over night). I'm a large size 12, probably a 14 at present and the 12 still fit me fine. Really comfortable and practical, although the material isn't thick its reasonably strong and does snag on rocks. Only bug bear is that the mens version have an additional pocket - so am a bit miffed that us ladies don't.

Too tight for the size / versus previous years
Craighoppers have been doing the Kiwi pro stretch for years, making only minor modifications each year and I have ordered a fair few of this exact type of trousers over the years. I love them normally, but the latest iteration is a good size smaller than any previous ones. I discovered this too late to return them. I imagined they just needed to be worn in / my old ones had worn out, but even after a few efforts at wearing them without bursting out of the waistband, they did not "give" and have ended up at the bottom of my cupboard as they are simply too tight.

First of all I love these pants and own a number of them
First of all I love these pants and own a number of them. Lost some weight so wanted to get a smaller size. Went on a site from Amazon where I was being charged in dollars. When picking the size the only conversion chart was from US to EU so I thought the sizes were US. The drop down box to chose size just had 8, 10,12 etc. Nothing to indicate that these were UK sizes. The size 8's I ordered were a US size 4. I complained to Kambia and was told that they sent me what I ordered so I would have to return them. Just got back from the post office - $22.50 to send them back. Hope the pants are as good as the others I have. One review here says the quality is not as good.... Buyer beware. The site seems to have changed now. Still no conversion chart but at least when you go to pick the size it tells you the conversion. It was an expensive lesson.
